ABOUT US
We met in 1998 at a Halloween party and became good friends. Over time, our friendship developed into a romance and then into a strong, committed relationship based on love and support. We were married outside on a beautiful summer day eight years ago at a California winery.
LeAnn appreciates how outgoing Marty is and thinks he could talk to anyone! She is thankful to have found someone who values family as much as she does. Just one month after we started dating, LeAnn invited Marty to her family's annual week-long camping vacation with 200 people he had never met before. Marty loved it and hasn't missed a year since! Marty then decided it was time to introduce LeAnn to his side of the family and we continue to spend a week in Wisconsin with all of his cousins and their children in the summertime.
Marty treasures how enthusiastic LeAnn is about being a stay-at-home mom! Although LeAnn has an engineering degree and had a successful corporate career, these days she spends her time on much more enjoyable projects like building gingerbread houses, Lincoln Log ranches, and Thomas the Train sets.
Being parents brings us true joy and we look forward to having another child to love and cherish. A home with children in it is a home with laughter, silliness, chaos, and FUN! We hope to find a special woman who not only entrusts us to raise her child but who would like to become part of our extended family. Our future child will be raised knowing it has both adoptive parents and birth parents who love him or her.
OUR INTERESTS
As a couple we share several common interests such as traveling, speaking Spanish, and our love of dogs.
Marty is passionate about cars and car racing. He belongs to a car club where the people get together to race their cars on real race tracks, like Sears Point and Laguna Seca. When not racing, they are either working on their cars, showing off their cars, or talking about their cars! (LeAnn never thought she'd see the day when this was interesting to her, but over the last few years, she is glued to the TV with Marty whenever there is a Formula One car race on!) Marty loves to run and has been an avid runner since he was in high school. He has always run long distances and recently started training for marathons.
Most of LeAnn's social activities now revolve around being a mom. She has found friends through the local mother's club and playgroups. Her book club meets once a month and she loves this time to get away to discuss books with the other moms in the group. These women have become friends during the three years since it started so of course we all end up talking about everything else in addition to the book! LeAnn also enjoys baking special occasion cakes, sewing baby blankets for friends, and walking our dog Henry on the beach.
